With all the sugary treats, baked goods, sweet cocktails, mocktails and more that are served during the Holidays, I think it’s safe to throw in a healthy treat that tastes so good, nobody will know the difference.
These festive bliss balls are rich in protein, healthy fats, and are naturally sweetened with honey. They are the perfect size to pop into your mouth in one bite, so be careful! They disappear quickly.
In one bowl, combine:
1 C almond butter
1 tsp valnilla
1 Tbsp cacao powder
5 pitted dates, chopped finely
1/4 tsp sea salt
2 Tbsp dark carob chips, or dairy-free, or milk chocolate
3/4 C rolled oats
2 Tbsp honey
Mix well. I get in there with my hands to make sure everything is combined well. Roll into 20 bite-sized balls, then roll in unsweetened coconut. Refrigerate to firm up a bit. These keep for up to 5 days or so in the fridge, or you can freeze them for up to a month. (if they last that long)
