5 Quick and Healthy Mason Jar Salads

Whoever invented the Mason jar is a genius. I stumbled upon a big box of them on a front lawn with a “free” sign attached and I thought I won the lottery. I use them as drinking jars, for chia pudding, trail mix, and the other best invention ever…Mason jar salads.

I always start with the dressing on the bottom, the protein and diced veggies in the middle, and the leafy greens on top. This method prevents the greens from wilting in the dressing. When you’re ready to eat, simply dump the jar upside down into a big bowl and everything gets coated in all the goodness.

Next time you have leftovers or are doing some weekly meal prep, here are 5 of my favourite Mason jar salads from around the web to inspire you:

  1. Mediterranean Chickpea Salad by Detoxinista

2. Chicken Kale Caesar by Kim’s Healthy Eats

3. Taco salad by Delish

4. Thai Chickpea and Quinoa Salad by Sweetpeas and Saffron

5. Zucchini Pasta Salad with Avocado Spinach Dressing by the Sugar Free Mom.

Have you made a Mason Jar Salad before? The possibilities are endless. They are a great way to use up those leftovers and prep yourself a few days of healthy lunches. I’d love to hear what you came up with. Send me a comment below.

Enjoy!
