5 Things A Holistic Nutritionist Does NOT Do To Stay Healthy

5 things I do NOT do for a healthy me… As a Holistic Nutritionist, I do not only rely on food to stay healthy. A WHOLE-istic approach incorporates the mind, body, and soul, all the pillars of health, and self care.

Here are 5 things I avoid to stay healthy…
.
.
.

1️⃣. I do not count calories. This puts stress on the mind and body , and who needs more stress? 200 calories looks different in a homemade plant-based dinner than it does in a bagel and cream cheese at a coffee break. Fresh, whole food doesn’t come with a nutrition label so there’s no calories to count.
.

2️⃣. I do not weigh myself on the regular. I don’t even own a scale and this is for good reason. The way I “look” is determined by the way my clothes fit and how I feel in them. I set my weight goal based on fitting into my favourite jeans and then I adjust my nutrition and fitness accordingly. This is when I get my diet dietary back out and get accountable to myself. (If you need a blank copy, they’re on my website under the “programs” tab)
.

3️⃣. I do not skip meals. This throws my blood sugar way out of whack and it wreaks havoc on my brain’s performance. I always pack healthy snacks with me so, when hunger strikes, I don’t end up in a drive-through, desperate and hangry.
.

4️⃣. I do not beat myself up if I eat a donut or have a glass (or two) of wine, or didn’t get the workout in that I strives for. It’s all about balance: balancing the pillars of health, living guilt-free and just enjoying life…Everything in moderation feels balanced for me.
.

5️⃣. I do not compare myself to others, I never have. Even in business, I don’t watch how the “others” are doing it. I rather not get influenced or swayed, but instead stay true to my creativity. This is how I stand out.
